10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Atlantic Beach

We are currently looking for all people in the Duval County/Jacksonville/ Beaches area interested in learning No-Gi Jiu Jitsu, MMA and self defense.


My name is Bryan Brown, I am a brown belt under 10th Planet founder, Eddie Bravo. I have been training with Eddie for almost 10 years. We started at the Bomb Squad when we were the only 10th Planet. We now have over 60 Moons orbiting around 10th Planet HQ in Los Angeles. One of my goals has been to become the head instructor of my own Moon.

My other goal is to find open minded people interested in learning and practicing No-Gi submission only grappling. Individuals who wish to better themselves through these mixed grappling arts which combine aspects of BJJ, Judo, Greco Roman Wrestling, Catch Wrestling, Sambo, ect. We all teach each other.

It doesn't matter if you are an aspiring MMA fighter or just an avg person looking to gain confidence while learning how to efficiently defend yourself should you ever need to. We make sure to provide a positive and safe learning environment for all. All are welcome.


I moved here about two years ago from California and have found a home with The Training Yard in Atlantic Beach, which is owned by strength and conditioning guru, Dean Grant, who happens to also be an accomplished MMA Fighter, BJJ black belt, expert in movement and mobility and all around good dude. Dean runs on pure love and wants nothing more then to help people realize their full physical potential, I myself have seen massive changes in the last year and a half training with Dean and it's been nothing short of incredible.
