Being in the kitchen and baking has really always been a passion of mine and it started at a really young age. An age where I had to stand on a kitchen chair in order to mix up whatever was on the menu. There were no mixers, just me and a wooden spoon and some muscle.
In High School, I thought I wanted to be an Early Childhood teacher, but realized that my calling really was for food and dessert. A year into my college life, I changed my degree and started studying Hospitality Administration, specialized in Baking And Pastry. Wasn't always a for sure path, lost interest in it due to life issues. Then in 2010 I met a man (now Fiance) and his family and they encouraged me to go for it. Always had encouragement but the push from them helped me get where I am today. The name of my business was thought up in 2010-11 and even though I wasn't going to keep it, the name grew on me and it stuck!
In May of 2014, I started selling homemade, made from scratch confections. The support I got from the community, friends, and family is overwhelming (in a good way of course!!) and has made me realize that I am doing what God intended me to do.
I believe I am different from some bakeries, as I insist on making my confections from completely scratch (Icing/frosting, marshmallows, graham crackers, cake...) and have no intentions of changing my way of doing things, regardless of the demand of my confections. Quality over Quantity and Under promise/Over deliver are a few words I live by in my baking world.
