The play takes place in 1932, and everyone longs for better days. This is the story of a young man running away from his parent’s expectations, a young woman running away from the machinations of a villainous brother-in-law, and the dear old aunts who shelter them. Throw in a Russian countess, her ballerina daughter, a destitute English gentleman, a terrible snowstorm, and some hillbillies trying to outwit the law and you have the makings of a lively comedy about love, trust, friendship, and second chances.

ACTivate youth perform “Better Days” on Wednesday, April 9th at 6:30, Thursday April 10th at 7:00, and April 11th at 2:00 and 7:00 at Christ Community Church—located at 5742 South 5th West (Park Road) in Idaho Falls. There is no cost to attend performances held at Christ Community Church. Concessions will be available for purchase. Additional performances will be held at the Virginia Theater 186 S. State St., in Shelley on Friday April 25th at 7:30 and Saturday April 26th at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m. Cost is $6.00 per person or a group rate of $5.00 per person if there are six or more. The play is written by Heather Fahnestock and is family friendly.

This play is directed by Heather Fahnestock, Carrie Francia, and Shelby Smith. They have enjoyed directing plays together for the last four years.
