Acupuncture Associates is an acupuncture and wellness clinic in Kingsport, TN that provides acupuncture, manual therapy, herbal medicine, nutrition, Qi Gong therapeutic exercise and lifestyle coaching to help with pain relief, stress management, weight loss, digestion, hormone balance and more! We offer free phone consultations, and treatments are tailored to individual needs to help you gain and maintain optimum wellness and are performed by our two practitioners: Julia Thie, L.Ac. and Devan Oschmann, L.Ac.

Both Julia and Devan are Licensed Acupuncturists practicing in Kingsport and are certified by the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology.

Devan earned her Master’s of Science in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, TX. During her studies at AOMA, she pursued her interests in women’s health and fertility, chronic fatigue, weight loss, and stress management. Devan has clinical experience and certifications in auricular acupuncture for addiction and pain (NADA) as well as cosmetic facial acupuncture. She further holds several certificates in functional medicine and enjoys educating patients on lifestyle and dietary regimens, in addition to prescribing Chinese herbal formulas. Prior to practicing acupuncture, Devan earned a Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Pre-medicine and Sociology. Devan is also a certified yoga instructor and loves hiking and the outdoors.

Julia holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance from Southern Connecticut State University and a four-year Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University in Santa Monica, California. Julia has contributed to two medical textbooks and is the former President of the TN Acupuncture Council. She provides educational wellness programs rejoining people with practical knowledge and use of natural medicines.
