Advanced Center for Eyecare

Advanced Center for Eyecare (ACE) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit medical eye care organization located in Bakersfield, California. ACE was founded by Joseph H. Chang, M.D. and Daniel H. Chang, M.D., of Empire Eye and Laser Center in 2010.

Alarming statistics of approximately 42% of the Kern County population or 2 in 5 people do not have access to quality eye care services.

MISSION
To offer high quality eye care to the underserved local population of Kern County.

SERVICES PROVIDED IN 2012
•641 patients received direct eye care services
•65 sight restoring surgeries were performed
•75 individuals received eye screenings at project homelessness
•130 individuals received eye screenings at the Hispanic Health & Safety Fair
•83 children from the Standard School District received eye screenings and glasses because of a partnership with OneSight.
