More about Agape International Christian Academy

We are a private, Christian school operating on the premise that every child CAN learn, but may learn at different rates and in different ways. We operate using a self-pace approach with technology being a pivotal part of learning. We encourage development of Faith in Jesus Christ, as well as virtues that help to an individual's overall character. We believe that "WE CAN" as stated in Philippians 4:!3, because God gives us the strength, and we encourage students to work with this knowledge in mind!!

Information for enrollment and tuition will be coming very soon. As for now, I will outline the vision for the operation of the school:

¬ The purpose of Agape International Christian Academy is to train children up to excel both in academics and in Christian character. Our goal is to see every child succeed and become ALL that he/she is meant to be.
¬ The name “AGAPE” is a Greek word that means “selfless, sacrificial, unconditional love.” The Bible teaches us these two things: 1) “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13). We believe Christ is the perfect example of such love, as He lay down His life for us. 2) “But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13). We believe that we need to teach this new generation to love as Christ did, to show Christ’s love to the world.
¬ The word “International” is a part of the school name, because this particular establishment is the first of many. It is the vision of the school, the administrator, and the business department to eventually (in the Lord’s perfect timing) to open schools in other parts of the nation, as well as in other nations. Therefore, know that we operate with the mind of a much bigger purpose. We operate with the knowledge that there is more to that purpose than just our community. We determine to teach the students to be active participants globally, and this will be seen through projects that are completed throughout the school year.
¬ The abbreviation of the school name appears as AICA. This may be seen in school documents or in any paperwork to be filled out. The grouped letters also represent Acceleration In Christian Achievement. We expect the students will excel!
¬ AICA is a school that requires students to complete community-service projects, as well as participate in activities/projects on an international level. This serves to make students aware of the world around them, having them focus on others and not only themselves. It builds them up to be caring citizens.
¬ AICA is a self-pace school, which is a different approach than used in the public school. This is because it is our belief that ALL students are able to learn; however, their method and rate of learning may differ. This approach will allow each child to learn at a rate and with a method that is best for him/her.
¬ AICA is a school that operates using technology as a daily tool. The core of their learning will be streaming using the A BEKA curriculum. As they go through their day, teachers will be available to offer assistance, continue to motivate, and monitor progress.
¬ In Year #1 (Phase #1) all students will be in the same classrooms; however, this will not be the case as we grow and expand. The vision is to have multi -aged students in the same rooms, but for those rooms to be divided into 1) elementary grades, 2) middle school grades, and 3) high school grades. This is a different approach than what is seen in the public school but is quite effective as the students are working at their own rate and by their own method.
¬ AICA is a faith-based school, which means Bible class will be a mandatory subject for each student at every grade level. All classes will come together for a time of Chapel before beginning their day. Bible class will follow immediately after.
¬ AICA is a school with a uniform policy. Each child will be expected to purchase and wear red polo shirts and khaki uniform pants or skirts (knee length). This will create a sense of uniformity and a standard of decorum.
¬ AICA is located (at the moment) at 120 Weathers Street, Suite A, Youngsville, NC 27596. It is presently housed within Glory Tabernacle Church. Should the location change, that information will be available immediately to the public.
¬ The School Superintendent and Administrator of AICA is Lyn Bacon, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Instructional Technology. The Finance and Business Administrator is Michael Bacon, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University, a Master’s Degree in Christian Leadership from Liberty University, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
¬ The mascot of AICA is “The Warriors.” The colors are red and gold.
¬ Staff and faculty of AICA will be announced at a later date.

If you have an interest in learning more, please contact us at 919-741-2159. We thank you for your time and look forward to all the future has to hold for AICA and its students!!!
