We are based off the principles of the Boy Scouts of America and follow three cardinal principles: Leadership, Friendship, and Service.

The Chapter at Montclair State University was founded on May 15, 1962 and re-founded April 18,2009 . We are recognized as a Class V Organization of the Student Government Association, Inc.
