What is a CERT team?
• If a disaster happens that overwhelms local response capability, CERT members can apply the training learned in the classroom and during exercises to give critical support to their family, loved ones, neighbors or associates in their immediate area until help arrives
• CERT members also are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community
How do I become a member?
• The Antelope Valley CERT Team Currently meets every fourth Thursday at 6:00 PM at the Antelope Valley Fire Station #3 1166 Larson Lane. Just attend any meeting for details.
Who can become a member?
• Any person over the age of 18 that is interested in helping their neighbors and community in times of disaster can be a valuable member of CERT, regardless of age or physical limitations, and are urged to attend a meeting!
