Since 1967, the A.R.E. Health Center & Spa has been helping individuals in the Virginia Beach area transform their lives with holistic healing, including massage therapy, bodywork, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, chiropractic care, and more.

We focus on comprehensive body-mind-spirit care, as recommended in the Edgar Cayce health readings, that supports your body’s innate ability to heal.

All of our massage therapists are licensed by the state of Virginia and graduates of the Cayce/Reilly School of Massage, recognized as one of the oldest and most highly regarded massage therapy schools in the world.

Our holistic health providers have advanced degrees in chiropractic (DC), clinical psychology (PhD), divinity (MDiv), public health (MPH), nutrition (RD), theology (PhD), nursing (RN), counseling (MEd), and acupuncture (Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine). All of our providers are committed to helping you listen to your body, breathe, relax, and heal.

The A.R.E. Health Center and Spa is located in the beautifully restored original Cayce Hospital building on 67th and Atlantic Avenue in Virginia Beach, Va. This building is now considered a historic landmark. Our location "on the hill" of the headquarters of Edgar Cayce's A.R.E. provides a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean.

A.R.E.'s headquarters has many free daily activities, a meditation garden, a meditation room, and Bookstore & Gift Shop, and twice-monthly conferences. We share our cafe space with the locally renowned Leaping Lizard Cafe, conveniently located next to the Spa lobby, so plan your visit to include a healthy and delicious lunch.
