Our History
The Arlington Group was founded on August 1, 1981, at 875 S. Arlington Ave., Harrisburg, PA

At that time, it was know as Arlington Orthopedic Clinic, and began as the solo practice for Rex A. Herbert, DO.

Incorporated in January 1982, AOCI soon grew to two partners in 1984, and three in 1987. Soon after, AOCI added MRI and Physical Therapy services, and began adding subspecialties such as neurology and physical medicine and rehab services. In 1991, a fellowship trained spine surgeon was also added to the group, and our name was changed to The Arlington Group.

At that time, plans were begun to build and expand the office to its current location at 805 Sir Thomas Court, which opened in June of 1994.

Since then, continued growth has been enjoyed by Arlington, adding additional general orthopedic surgeons, primary care sports medicine, fellowship trained adult reconstruction, and orthopedic sports surgery, as well as an additional fellowship trained spine neurosurgeon.

We are also located on the West Shore at 3 Walnut St. Lemoyne.
