Back Alley Productions

Back Alley Productions became established in 2011 pretty much by accident. Kaylee Smith was involved with Stageworks Productions. The owner of Stageworks Productions, Hollie Baranick, noticed Kaylee had talent and drive and subsequently offered to fund her opportunity to produce, direct, and cast a play on her own. That summer of 2011 Kaylee Smith would begin production of Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure. The following spring 2012 Back Alley Productions was born, and had its first successful theater season. In July, Back Alley Productions produced The Three Musketeers, followed-up by a reprise of Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure. Back Alley Productions Inc. is committed to developing a company which is respectfully dedicated to the exploration and celebration of the performing arts.

Due to its beginnings, Back Alley wants to keep the spirit of opportunity alive in its structure, and wants to offer anyone the chance to learn the art of stagecraft, acting, directing, producing, and stage and set design, light design, and to find a place for anyone within the community to come on board and try their hand in performing arts.

Back Alley will always be Theater for everyone, a place to try new things, to get our hands dirty, make mistakes, and push ourselves outside our limits and range, seeking to offer to performing artist of all backgrounds the same opportunities we have been given, to learn, to encourage and to positively impact our community and our environment, through the medium of performing arts.
