Backwoodskick

Backwoods Kick was founded in the Appalachia region of the Ohio River Backwoodskick started their adventure as SnR Produce And Snacks in Alligator Jacks Flea Market. First selling local grown produce then moving on to include Amish made products. Then as the company grew they realized a great deal of waste was being produced by their booth in blemished apples. Refusing to let good food go to waste Backwoodskick decided to bring out old fashioned values. Days later in September of 2013 they canned their first jars of Apple Butter. Overnight people was raving about their cooking skills and fortunately they didn't stop there! Their apple jelly & Cinnamon Apple was added to the line up next. Finally while selling at the French City 500 Flea Market they spotted a spot on a tomato. Snatching it off the shelf they went to toss it in the trash when the success of their apple butter came to mind. Going home they goggled salsa recipes and over about a week they tried several and none met their expectations in flavor or heat. So finally thier combined several recipes and before the evening was over Burning Britches was cooling on the counter. Later Realizing the salsa business was out growing it's mother company They contacted one of their best business colleges and after tons of jokes and teasing Backwoods Kick was suggested.

Every salsa they make to date is based off that original recipe. And is strictly only made by their family. No one outside their family is allowed to know or help with the exact process or seasonings used in every recipe. The salsa's now in production are Mild, Medium, Hot, Chipotle, Rich's Burning Britches, Blazin, Signature Viper Salsa, and their newest inferno hot salsa Straight Stupid.
