More about Baltimore Soundstage

Baltimore Soundstage, located in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, is one of the most eclectic venues in Maryland hosting nationally touring artists from genres such as heavy metal, neo-soul, dubstep, spoken word, and everything in-between in an intimate environment. Most shows will be presented in the standard standing room only room configuration, however, in a first for Baltimore, we present selected acts in a fully seated table format. Soundstage is equipped with a large stage, state of the art sound, lights, and video, and a kitchen, offering patrons a full menu of choices.

Q: I am coming from out of town. Is there a hotel near your venue?
A: Yes. We recommend Sleep Inn & Suites: 301 Fallsway, Baltimore, MD 21202. The number is 410-779-6166. Click here for a special 15% discount for Soundstage customers: http://www.sleepinn.com/ires/en-US/html/ArrivalInfo?hotel=MD222&srp=LSOUND&pu=no

Q: Is seating available for a show?
A: Soundstage has a variety of seating arrangements depending on the particular show. Please check the show calendar or ticket link for the arrangement for the show you are interested in. All table seating is subject to a 20% Gratuity. Listed below are the available variations:

Standing Room Only: Just like it sounds – customers should be prepared to stand for the length of the show. There may be a limited number of bar stools, tables and chairs, and individual chairs available, but this would be on a first come first serve basis. Some standing room only shows may have VIP and show packages available.

Fully Seated Event: This configuration guarantees you a seat, either theatre style or table seating. All general admission seating is available on a first come first serve basis. Depending on the show, you may be able to purchase either a show package and reserve a table of your choice, or an individual seat at a specific table. We cannot seat incomplete parties.

Show Package: Show packages come in 2 or 4 person tickets. This package guarantees you a table with food credit. For general admission shows where seating is available, the raised section to the right side of the room will have these tables and customers will be seated based upon the date and time of purchase; the earlier you purchase this package, the better your seat. These seats are reserved in advance of the doors opening, therefore allowing customers to arrive anytime after doors open.

VIP Package: On a limited number of shows, including standing room only events, this package will be available. A VIP package allows the entry of up to 10 guests, a selection of premium liquor, reserved seating area, and a dedicated server. When available, these packages can only be obtained by contacting justin@baltimoresoundstage.com. Our VIP package host will then contact you to assist in selecting an appropriate package.

Q: Is there parking available near Soundstage?
A: Yes. Two nearby parking facilities have agreed to provide discounted parking for Soundstage patrons. Make sure you ask a Soundstage staff member for your discount parking ticket chaser. In order to apply the discount, you must obtain a parking ticket from the garage. On the way back to your vehicle, insert your parking ticket into the payment slot followed by the chaser and there will be an automatic discount.

Harbor Park Garage is located across the street from Soundstage at 55 Market Place and offers Soundstage guests a $10 flat rate for up to 24 hours! More info: http://harborparkgarage.com/

Lockwood Garage is located on top of the venue with the entrance being just steps away from the Soundstage entrance. Our Soundstage discount chaser provides you with a $10 discount, making your final payment $12-$17 depending on what time you enter the garage. This discount can only be applied if you enter after 4pm.

Q: Do you serve food?
A: Yes, the food section on this website has an example of the types of food you can expect to see, but our menu changes daily. Just ask your server or bartender about any food and beverage specials.

Q: How do I play at your venue?
A: You must have a website or Facebook page with three songs that can be viewed and listened to in its entirety (YouTube is okay to meet this requirement). Soundstage limits the amount of local artists placed on a bill, so you should be expected to fulfill some minimum obligations to be placed on this bill.

Q: Where is the box office located and what time does it open?
A: The box office is located at the venue – 124 Market Place, Baltimore MD 21202. The box office opens at least one hour before any show or event and stays open for the duration of the show. Additionally, the Box office is open Wednesdays -Saturday from 12PM-6PM. The phone number is (410) 244-0057

Q: What do i need to pick up will call tickets?
A: Your ID or credit card used to purchase the tickets, and order confirmation number.

Q: Can i still get tickets if a show is sold out?
A: Once a show is sold out, that’s it. We do not resell tickets for customers who don’t show nor do we have a waiting list. Sometimes an artist or tour will release a number of tickets just prior to the show so you should continue to periodically monitor our website to check on the status of the show. Also, there may be some tickets released the day of the show. There is no guarantee that this will occur. You can stop by in person once the doors are open. You cannot call to have tickets held. Again, there is no guarantee that tickets will be available.

Q: What is the age requirement for entering the venue?
A: All shows are all ages unless otherwise indicated in the show details. If a show is designated as 16 and older or 18 and older, you must be that age or older to enter. You must have proper ID to enter all age restricted shows.

Q: What time does the show start?
A: Door and show times are indicated on each individual show listing. The run of each show can vary, but you can call the venue during box office hours for set times or check our Facebook and Twitter pages on the day of the show for posted set times. All acts and times are subject to change without notice.
It is important to note that shows at Soundstage sometimes have limited opening artists other than what the entire tour is carrying. In most cases, shows start on time and end at a reasonable hour. The exact timing of all the shows is largely dependent upon the artist or tour. The venue does not have control over any particular artist, band, or tour’s performance time.

Q: Do you have a dress code?
A: The venue does not have a specific dress code other than no dangerous jewelry, no spike clothing, no knives of any kind, and obviously, no weapons. The venue reserves the right to search customers upon entry for any illegal or inappropriate material. If found or customer refuses to undergo the search, then the venue reserves the option to deny entry without a ticket refund.

Q: Do you have coat check?
A: If the weather and room arrangement justifies it, we open a coat check.

Q: Can I bring a camera in?
A: The venue defers to the act regarding the specific photo/taping policy. Most of the time, the policy is as follows: No video, no professional cameras, no taping, and no use of flash, but each artist(s) have their own rules and can change them as they see fit. In the event that you can’t bring a camera inside, make sure you are comfortable leaving it in your car.

Q: How do I talk to someone about my bill or credit card charge?
A: You can send an email to info@baltimoresoundstage.com or call us during box office hours at 410-244-0057.

Q: Can I buy tickets at your box office without paying service fees?
A: You can buy tickets at the box office or over the phone with a substantially lower fee than purchasing online, however the state of Maryland requires an admissions and amusement tax of 10% on all tickets.

Q: I bought tickets and now I can’t go.
A: All sales are final, no refunds or exchanges. Refunds are only made available for rescheduled or canceled shows.

Q: My child wants to come to soundstage, but I am concerned.
A: The decision to let your child come to a show is obviously up to you as a parent. Alcohol is served at the venue, but we are very cautious and diligent to ensure that only those individuals age appropriate are served. Attending the show with your child is an option, this way you can make your own evaluation of the situation.

Q: Can I leave and re-enter?
A: Once you redeem your ticket, we cannot allow you to exit and re-enter, though we do allow smoking in a designated area directly outside of the venue. You cannot, however, take alcohol outside. The smoking area may have limited accessibility and availability times.

Q: Is the venue handicap accessible?
A: Our main entrance and general admission floor area are accessible. Once inside, there are two raised areas that have two steps each to go up in order to access them. We are happy to accommodate any patron with special needs and you can email info@baltimoresoundstage.com or call 410-244-0057 during box office hours to make arrangements prior to the event.
