Bankhead Bistro and Coffee Bar

Here at the Bistro, we believe in community. That is our motivation. We aim to represent a calm gathering place for all in Aledo and beyond. Located in a re-purposed home from the town, the Bistro was birthed from the interests of the youth in our community. We serve authentic Italian grown espresso in all of our premium coffees, and our House Coffee is a Colombian dark roasted bean ground every morning and brewed to a smooth consistency. Because we care about your health as much as our own, we offer whole, fat free, soy and almond milks. Our display is full of muffins, brownies and cookies made in house, and kolaches and cinnamon rolls made from scratch in our kitchen in east Fort Worth and baked to perfection in house. We serve sandwiches and salads with ingredients chopped, sliced and prepared in house every day. They rival those of elite restaurants in both taste and presentation. Our service is our shining star, though, with a crew of the finest baristas and wait-staff in Aledo. Every member of our team considers the desires of the customer above all else. The kind service and premium food is only a piece of the pleasant atmosphere here. The walls are decorated with photography from local artist Daniel Stober, and our rustic accents around the cafe will make you feel right at home in Aledo. Our deck seating will bring you to a simpler time as you sit back and enjoy our Bankhead Iced Teas. On the inside, you don't have to hear refrigerators churning or train horns blowing, only the peaceful songs selected by our baristas.

The building itself was originally a housing area for ministers of the Church at the Crossing. It was relocated when The Coffee House purchased and redesigned it. The Bistro bought the building later and opened our doors on March 1, 2016. You can still see the original features of the home.

We feature dine-in, drive-through, and call-in ordering options. Lunch is served 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., but Breakfast is served all day. Every meal is served on our steel trays and wax paper. Sandwiches come with a bread and butter pickle spear and a bag of kettle cooked potato chips. All salads come with house made crustinis and dressings. We also have gluten free options.

We are a great option for a coffee date, lunch with the family, or just a quick pick-me-up on your way to work or class.
