Barber Park is Ada County's flagship facility and is best known as the starting point for Boise River rafters and tubers during the summer float season. During the float season the park features a rental concession, shuttle service, air compressor stations, and a snack shack. The park also features the Barber Park Education and Event Center, the Boise River Greenbelt pathway and a variety of other trails, wildlife habitat areas, a huge black cottonwood forest, a playground area, picnic shelter and tables, BBQ grills, a basketball court and a fishing pier. The Ada County Parks & Waterways Department headquarters are also located here.
