Glenn Robins and his wife, Vivian, opened their first mobile street vending operation in the Woodruff Park area of downtown Atlanta that year and the Barkers Phenomenon has been amazing them ever since.

The premium quality hot dogs and sausages are made exclusively for Barkers by a fifth generation family-owned and operated sausage maker who has been in business since 1869. The hot dogs & sausages are scored while slow cooking over hot coals, yielding a slightly crunchy, unique flavor that over the years has kept Atlanta waiting patiently in line. Indeed, "its worth the wait" was more than a slogan at the Barkers carts. Top your dog with Barkers Famous Hot Sauce, an order of our Famous Fresh Cut Onion Rings or Crinkle Cut Beach Fries washed in vinegar and an Ice Cold Fresh Squeezed Lemonade and the lunch hour could not be more perfect!
