Being the Hope UMC

We are a community of faith Sharing the Joy, Living the Faith, and Being the Hope. This means it is a priority for us to welcome and honor the sacred worth and dignity of all persons at any stage in their faith journey. We believe our community should reflect the love of God, extending to persons of every race, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, physical and mental capacity, education, economic, and marital status.

God is active and real in the lives of the people of this church community. Our hope is that everyone who comes in our doors will feel connected to God and to each other. Our calling is to be like Jesus in our devotion to God and our service to others. We are a church of Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors.

We are a United Methodist Church with two campuses: Woodbury and Peaceful Grove

Woodbury Campus

At the Woodbury Campus, we offer two Sunday worship services. Our 9:00 am service is a traditional service with organ and United Methodist liturgy. Our 10:30 am is a transformation service with praise bands and stories of God at work in the world. The sermon is the same at both services.

We also offer fellowship and educational opportunities for all ages throughout the week.

Peaceful Grove Campus

Worship at Peaceful Grove is intimate and community-led. We use a mixture of traditional and contemporary music and practices to find new and creative ways to worship. A potluck lunch follows worship on the first Sunday of each month.
