The Bergen County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a dedicated group of municipal volunteers trained to respond to assist at any community event. As part of the Basic CERT training volunteers take classroom training in Incident Command, Terrorism, Disaster Psychology, Light Search and Rescue, Basic First Aid, Fire Safety and Response, and Disaster Preparedness. Additionally the course offers practical training in Fire and EMS activity. Many of our CERT members take advantage of our monthly training program which include topics such as Shelter Operations, Radio Communications, Advanced First Aid, ICS 200, Traffic and Crowd Control to name a few. CERT, not everyone will be able to perform every task, but, there is a task for everyone. Why not join today.
