I have always had an interest in cooking with cast iron, but it wasn’t until I was given a few cast iron skillets that my interest really took off. It was then that I started to appreciate the value and beauty of the old cast iron compared to what is on the market today. As I started to build my own cast iron cookware collection it evolved into a hobby and a passion to find and restore these hidden treasures.

My inventory of cast iron cookware includes skillets, dutch ovens, trivets, muffin pans and more from Griswold, Wagner, Favorite, Vollrath and Wapak to name a few. If you are looking for reconditioned vintage cast iron cookware of the past, I may have what you are looking for.

After researching the many different methods of reconditioning cast iron, I settled on two methods. I use a Lye bath and/or an Electrolysis tank to strip and clean all of the cookware down to bare iron, and then it all gets blackened and oiled down ready for use.
