Brinker Therapy

I have a trauma-focused practice and specialize in treating clients who struggle with trauma-related symptoms such as: PTSD, depression/anxiety disorders, self-harm, substance use, school or work conflicts and/or difficulty with personal relationships. My clients are often unaware they have trauma or PTSD until I assess them and we review their history and current difficulties within the same context. My clients include: adults, adolescents/young adults, as well as veterans and veterans’ family members. My approach focuses on reducing current symptoms as well as evaluating the impact trauma and PTSD may have had on the client’s life as a whole.


I am currently training to be certified in EMDR. EMDR is rated as one of the most effective therapies in treating trauma and PTSD for both civilians and the military. EMDR also effectively treats survivors of: sexual assault, natural disasters, child abuse, domestic violence and car accidents.


I include psycho-education as a significant part of my practice. Trauma is often unrecognized or misunderstood so I think it’s crucial to recovery for my clients to understand how and why they suffer; then they can begin to reduce their suffering with new skills, coping tools and hope.
