CACC Adoptable Pets

Chicago Animal Care and Control protects public safety and ensures the humane care of animals through sheltering, pet placement, education and animal law enforcement.

Every companion animal deserves a loving home. At Animal Care and Control (ACC), all adoptable animals receive a health evaluation, (including a heartworm test for dogs and FIV/FELV test for cats,) a microchip, vaccinations and spay or neuter surgery.

An adoption screening process in in place to determine whether or not a potential adopter will provide a lasting, loving home. ACC is eager to help everyone make a match with just the right pet to suit their family.

Adoption Hours and Fees
Hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. & 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday - 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

(*No Adoption services, everyday between the hours of 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.)

Applications for Adoptions are not given out after 6 p.m.
The shelter will remain open for viewing until 7p.m.

HOMEWARD BOUND APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS CAN PULL DOGS AND CATS ON THE ADOPTION FLOORS. Please refer to the homeward bound placement policy or email us at caccadoptables@gmail.com if you have questions.
