The Camino de Santiago de Compostela (which means “the Way of St. James”) is a network of ancient pilgrim routes stretching across Europe, all of which lead to the tomb of St. James the Apostle, located in Santiago, Spain.
Camp El Camino provides middle school youth with an exciting Christian pilgrimage experience where kids will make friends, have fun, grow in faith and holiness, and ENCOUNTER Christ along "The Way!"
In John 14:6, Christ proclaimed, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Our journey toward God the Father is a lifelong pilgrimage that we make with others. “To be on a Pilgrimage is to journey through Christ, to the Father, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, with the help of Mary and all of the saints, as you bring your brothers and sisters along with you.” (Cursillo Pilgrims Guide, pg.1) As you know, living Christian lives in today’s secular society is not easy, especially for our youth, but it is much easier if they journey along their Way withHeaven and their fellow Christian pilgrims. Camp El Camino is an opportunity for each beloved pilgrim to intentionally begin their pilgrimage –their Camino- with Christ and transform their hearts!
