Candler County

Candler County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2010 census, the population was 10,998. The county seat is Metter. The county was founded in 1914 and named for Allen D. Candler, the 56th governor of Georgia.GeographyAccording to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of, of which is land and (2.3%) is water.The majority of Candler County is located in the Canoochee River sub-basin of the Ogeechee River basin.
