Yes, my friends there is a Captain Pete! Arthur "Pete"Bender was born and raised in the Cape Charles area.
At the age of 8 years old Pete was navigating his Dad's boat catching everything from fish to crabs.
At the age of 22, Captain Pete was in the Long
Island, New York area with his own boat catching
scallops. Today he has 2 Trawlers-one in the Carolinas and the other in New Jersey area catching ocean scallops and shrimp.
In Spring of 2014 Captain Pete began selling local fresh retail seafood on Rt. 13.
Capt'n Pete's restaurant opened in October 2015, serving everything from fresh local seafood, prime rib, and seafood scampi.
