Cariboo Jack's Galleria

The idea for Cariboo Jack's began with Dr. Nita Weber. She wanted to create a venue where local artisans could display and sell the items they had had created.

Having a love for the arts and noticing what she believed was an extraordinary amount of talented artisans and lack venues to display their creations in Soda Springs and the surrounding area, she felt the artists and community would benefit by having a location where they could come and enjoy and buy the works of these skilled individuals.

Being a local history buff and enthusiast she had read about the founding and settlement of Soda Springs and envisioned a store that would reflect the history and culture of the old west, Soda Spring, and the individuals who founded the area. One historic figure in particular grabbed her attention, a local miner from Canada known for his tall tales, Jesse Fairchilds,aka."Carriboo Jack"

After presenting her idea to the local artisans, she found a location, remodeled the building, gave it an old west theme, and open the store in his name. "Cariboo Jack's" opened it's doors in July 2016.

Since that time a many local artist have brought a wide variety of items through it's doors. "Cariboo Jack's" currently displays the work of fine artists, jewelry makers, wood workers, pyrographers, leather workers, reclaimed wood furniture makers, photographers, sign makers, craft and decor artists.

Cariboo Jack's is run as a consignment store. Cariboo Jack's has no paid employees. It is run by the artist's on a volunteer basis. Artists interested in displaying their works are asked to bring samples into the store where it goes through an approval process.
