Our heritage pigs are raised on pasture and woodlands. They're fed a non-GMO blend of barley and wheat!

Carousel Pig Farm is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in NW Loudoun County,
Virginia. The pigs are the latest addition to a family run farm since 1960; an ideal setting with fresh
water springs, organic farming, a woodland setting, and pastures for happy roaming. Our heritage breed
of "Large Black Pigs" is raised with organic grains, pasturing, and foraging of acorns and walnuts for a
tasty lean product with good marbling.

Pasture raising adds real value to the meat. When pigs can root, dig, and run, then the quality of the
meat improves. A pasture-raised pig can root and dig to find its own minerals.

Heritage pigs are prized for their juiciness, flavor, and tenderness. The meat is pink hued and heavily
marbled.
