With a 60-year history, Centerstone is one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit providers of community-based mental health and addiction services, offering a comprehensive array of mental health services, substance abuse and addictions treatment, educational services, housing and supports.
Centerstone is the result of the affiliation of 14 organizations (formerly nine 501(c)3 community mental health centers, one university sponsored mental health center, one rural health clinic and one veterans services organization).
The organization is made up of eight first-tier corporations and multiple second-tier corporations with a primary footprint in Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee. Operating with over 5,000 employees and hundreds of volunteers, Centerstone provides services to more than 170,000 individuals and families in nearly 200 facilities and through a provider network in 32 U.S. states and one Canadian province. Centerstone is CARF accredited in Illinois, Indiana and Tennessee and Joint Commission accredited in Florida and Kentucky.
