Chicks Unhitched retreats are the perfect blend of adventure, beauty, education, and camaraderie. Five-night Chicks Unhitched retreats include lodging, yoga, delicious & healthy meals, fun outdoor & fitness activities (think kayaking, hiking, ziplining, mountain biking), exciting educational evening programs (everything from expert speakers and chef demos, to chick-flick movie nights & more!), and take home tips & tricks to help you keep looking & feeling great long after the program ends.

Your Chicks Unhitched adventure is based amid the beautiful Smoky Mountains of North Carolina at the award-winning retreat, Lakeview at Fontana. Located on a forested mountainside with views of Fontana Lake, this intimate & unpretentious boutique spa is secluded, comfortable and decidedly low-key.

Accommodations reflect the essentials of a women’s retreat – think pillow-soft down comforters; pure Egyptian cotton sheets; and naturally pampering Aveda bath amenities in all 20 rustic-chic suites. Fully equipped kitchenettes and sitting areas allow adequate room for a comfortable stay.

The areas surrounding the Great Smoky Mountain National Park – with lush landscapes, sparkling waterfalls and relatively mild terrain make it a perfect destination for a Chicks Unhitched adventure. The RíoQuijos EcoLodge is an outdoor adventurer’s dream: nature trails that wind through beautiful forest, whitewater rafting on the Quijos River, mountain biking, horse back riding, hiking, private beach for trout fishing, as well as day trips to such outstanding sites as the Pappallacta Hot Springs, Cueva de los Tayos and San Rafael Falls.

The RíoQuijos EcoLodge is a unique eco-lodge on the eastern slope of the Oriente. It is designed specifically for discerning guests who want no other noise than the sound of the river and the songs of the Inca Jays, Oropendulas and Gallo de la Peñas to lull them to sleep.
