Child Care Licensing Program at Mary's Center

Mary's Center provides training and technical assistance to individuals interested in opening their own licensed Child Development Home or Center. This program includes step-by-step guidance on the complex licensing process and opportunities for training and mentoring related to: business practices, setting up the environment, the 11 Core Knowledge Areas of Early Childhood Education, participating in DC’s Subsidy Program and the Child and Adult Care Food Program, and more.

We offer individual and group support to prospective and current Child Development Home/Center Providers, interact with government agencies, and support providers in advocating for themselves.

Our services are open to participants of all languages and backgrounds.
