What is Chiropractic?

Every function in the body is under the control of the nervous system. Nerves transmit all signals and sensations to the brain, making it possible for organs, cells, and tissues to move and function in response to the signals. As such, the liver, lungs, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, etc. are all directly controlled by the nervous system.

This nervous system is protected by the spinal column, which consists of 24 movable segments called vertebrae. 31 pairs of nerves emit from the openings in between every two bone. Whenever a subluxation, or misalignment of a bone, occurs, it interferes with the normal function of these nerves to the organs.

The object of Chiropractic care is to remove these spinal misalignments and thus allow every organ to receive an optimum nerve supply.

Services and Treatment Options:
In accordance with our office's belief in wholistic natural health care, we offer a wide range of noninvasive services and treatment options that address all aspects of a patient's health.

Patient Examinations: Our office performs detailed patient examinations which comprises of neurological, cardiovascular, orthopedic, and range of motion tests that check for postural deviations, muscle spasms, epidermal sensitivities, nerve damage, muscle weakness, and more.

X-rays: Chiropractors are concerned with the underlying cause of pain and disorders, not just the symptoms. They want to see your full health picture, so when appropriate, they use X-rays to supplement physical exams and get an inside view of the spinal structure.

Acupuncture: Acupuncture has helped billions of people over the past 5000 years. Like Chiropractic, the goal of acupuncture is to activate the natural, self-healing abilities of the body to restore health and promote wellness.

Cold laser: A low-level laser therapy, the Cold Laser penetrates tissue to reduce pain and muscle spasm while improving metabolism, circulation and tissue healing. Cold Laser also provides an anti-inflammatory effect that has proven helpful in treating chronic and acute conditions from simple sprains and strains to disc herniations and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Rehabilitative Exercises: Many patients with joint injuries of the neck, back, elbow, wrists, ankle, knee, shoulder, and lower back require additional therapy to achieve full recovery. Rehabilitative exercise is used to strengthen the joint, lessen the risk of the re-injury and aide in the proper healing of the injured area.
