More about Chippewa Nature Center

Founded in 1966, Chippewa Nature Center is a non-profit environmental education organization, open year-round with FREE daily admission. Our 1,200 acres is comprised of woodlands, wetlands, fields and rivers with 15 miles of trails to explore. Facilities include a state-of-the art Visitor Center and reconstructed 1870s Homestead Farm, complete with log cabin, barns and outbuildings, log schoolhouse and maple sugarhouse. We also operate an on-site Nature Preschool for 3- and 4-year old students during the school year. A plethora of programs are offered throughout the year for all ages, including story hours, guided hikes, Homestead Sundays and many field trips including kayaking, birding, snowshoeing and more. For information about all our activities and membership opportunities, visit our website at www.chippewanaturecenter.org.
