St. Peter Church was constructed in 1904. It is about 300 yards from the mighty Ohio River, and less than one mile from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Built in an exquisite French Renaissance style, St. Peter is the tallest and most beautiful house of worship in Steubenville.
The Parish Choir is made up of volunteers from the community representing all ages under the direction of organist Andrew Barnick. The Choir of St. Peter excels in performing traditional Catholic music including Gregorian chant, as well as classical hymn-singing and the performance of English-Language liturgical music.
