For democracy to flourish, informed and mobilized citizens must be at the forefront of public policy debate, discussion and decision-making. CitizenDetroit is a community engagement initiative established to educate, engage and mobilize residents to fully participate in the restructuring of city services, restoration of confidence in city government, and renaissance of the city's neighborhoods and businesses.
