Cold Spring Wellness

My name is Kristine Barnes and I am the founder of Cold Spring Wellness. Natural cosmetic and medicinal formulas have always been an interest of mine. It all began when I was a little girl picking wild flowers & herbs. I would blend the aromatic elements in a glass water and place it in the sun. The wonderful fragrant sun infusion was my first perfume! As I got older I gravitated toward creating homemade bath & body care products and exploring various alternative therapies such as reiki, shamanic teachings and chakra balancing. All of which lead me to an 10 year position at a natural apothecary. There we worked with vitamins, minerals, medicinal herbs, homeopathy, aromatherapy, spiritual herbals and explored teachings about how emotional & thought dissonance effect the physical body. During that time I took continuing education courses on anatomy, physiology, medicinal herbals, infection prevention & control, various alternative therapies and health care classes for both home and clinical settings. I now offer integrated therapeutic massage sessions and DIY natural product workshops at Cold Spring Wellness.

Cold Spring Wellness has been a long time aspiration of mine. I am grateful to now offer a shared space for holistic practitioners to offer personal and group consultations, healing therapies, private and group Yoga, soulful nourishment, workshops and classes. I have been fortunate to have found holistic practitioners who are enthusiastic, self-motivated & compassionate. We care about our clients, their health and happiness. Our tight knit group of practitioners are a combination of family, long time friends and colleagues who have local ties to the area and are, in some cases, well traveled. We look forward to welcoming new practitioners and clients. It is my goal to implement an integrated wellness system where each guest will have the opportunity to work with a variety of qualified holistic practitioners to complement and enhance their health & lifestyle.

Cold Spring Wellness is located on busy Route 9 in the Quabbin Village Shops plaza. Belchertown, MA (previously known as Cold Spring) is located in Hampshire County, has one of the largest land areas in MA and lies adjacent to Quabbin Reservoir. It is a quiet residential and geographically large town of almost 60 square miles, the second largest in the state. Offices and stores, churches and homes, some dating back more than 200 years, encircle the large five-acre town common. Here men mustered and drilled for the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. Belchertown is just 15 minutes away from the five college consortium of Amherst College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, University of Massachusetts Amherst, and Hampshire College.
