Sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and touted as one of the best rodeos in the state, The Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo is not only great for its rodeo action but it’s also great because of its rich history and additional events surrounding the week of the rodeo.
Leading up to the main rodeo performances on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights are a golf tournament on Tuesday, a parade Saturday morning through Mitchell, a cowboy church service Sunday morning and a chili cook-off and country music showdown Sunday afternoon.
The Corn Palace Stampede Rodeo and Bull Bash events are held at the outdoor Horsemen Sports Arena located just North of Lake Mitchell on Hwy 37.
