Custer's Catfish Ponds

Located in Craig County, VA on Route 311 Custer's Catfish Pond is a family friendly environment where everyone can relax and have fun. There are no drugs, alcohol, or bad language allowed on premises so you can guarantee that your family will have fun. The ponds are stocked with blue and flat head catfish weighing over 40 pounds each and since it is catch and release there is no fishing license required.

We are open beginning the second weekend in April till the 5th of October. There are tournaments every weekend and three times a year we have all night fishing from 7 pm till 4 am. Our regular hours are:

Friday Night 7:30 till 11 pm
Charge is $10.00 per person with a pay out of $50.00 for the biggest fish caught by weight.

Saturday Night 7:30 till 11pm
Charge is $20.00 per person with a pay out to for the top three largest fish by weight.

Sunday Night 7:00 till 10 pm
Charge is $10.00 per person with a payout of $50.00 for the biggest fish caught by weight.

All fishers are required to use 20lb test line or above. All hooks must be single with the barbs removed or mashed down. NO DOUBLE OR TRIPLE HOOKS. Most baits are acceptable. You will need to bring your own poles and chairs.

We also rent out the ponds for private parties for $150 for a party of five between 7am and 2pm. Call or email for pricing on larger parties or to reserve a time slot.
