David has been working in the photonics industry himself for two decades, developing laser-based products for optical communications and remote sensing applications. During this time he has held a wide variety of product development and leadership roles. Now he is taking his experience and mentoring others to help them achieve success in their own career planning.

David is also active in developing Colorado’s high-tech industry, having served a three-year tenure as president of the Colorado Photonics Industry Association. David holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Colorado State University, and holds six patents on various applications of lasers and fiber optics. He is the author of the book Turning Science into Things People Need, a career guide for scientists seeking to design rewarding careers in industry.
