More about Deanie's Seafood

A New Orleans institution for more than 50 years, Deanie's Seafood is rated by locals as one of New Orleans’ Best Seafood Restaurants, known for serving huge portions of fresh Louisiana seafood prepared with Deanie’s Signature Creole Seasonings. Some of Deanie’s customer favorites include the Giant Seafood Platter, New Orleans Barbeque Shrimp, Boiled Crawfish and Soft Shell Crab.

Family-owned and operated, Deanie’s Seafood operates two successful restaurants, a seafood market and off-site catering in the New Orleans area serving the authentic flavor of New Orleans. Deanie’s ships delicious prepared and fresh Louisiana seafood throughout the United States through its online retail site www.shopdeanies.com, including Louisiana Oysters, Shrimp, Flounder, Crawfish and Blue Crab. We’re also a favorite New Orleans gameday sports bar and restaurant with gameday drink specials and large flat-screen TVs tuned to the Saints game at both restaurants and live post-game broadcasts of “The Point After Show” on WWL Radio from Deanie’s in the French Quarter.

Deanie’s was the first seafood market to open its doors in the quaint fishing village of Bucktown and one of the first to sell boiled seafood such as Boiled Shrimp, Crawfish and Blue Crab. Deanie’s second location opened in 2001 in the former D.H. Holmes Department store in the heart of the historic French Quarter. A top destination for visitors to New Orleans, our French Quarter restaurant offers two private dining rooms plus a beautiful courtyard providing an authentic New Orleans dining experience for corporate events, meetings, socials and celebrations.

In 2014, Deanie's became the first restaurant in New Orleans to serve certified "Authentic Louisiana Wild Seafood," which ensures our customers they are enjoying natural, sustainable Louisiana seafood sourced from Gulf Waters. Deanie’s has been recognized numerous times by readers of local publications New Orleans magazine, Gambit Weekly, the Times Picayune and Where Y’at, ranking as Best Seafood Restaurant, Best Place for Fried Seafood, Best Boiled Seafood, Best Place for Boiled Crawfish and Best Seafood Market. The restaurant has been featured on numerous Travel Channel and Food Network programs and was featured in John Folse’s Louisiana cookbook “Hooks, Lies & Alibis.”

Deanie's in the French Quarter is open daily Sunday – Thursday 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., Friday – Saturday 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. The Bucktown restaurant and seafood market are open 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday, 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday. (Closed on Mondays.)
