FREE ADMISSION - Desert Christ Park is comprised of over 50 steel-reinforced concrete statues depicting the ministry and events of Jesus Christ. Each statue is hand finished with a white paint/plaster mixture and weigh between three and 16 tons - including the three-story, 125 ton Last Supper Facade. With the exception of the Ascension and the Suffer the Children statues, all were built on sight between 1951-1961 by Frank Antone Martin, an aerospace engineer from Inglewood, CA who molded and shaped each statue, one bucket at a time.
