Domino Lounge

One might barely notice the Domino Lounge while cruising down Dorchester Road, but situated in the North Village strip mall is a charming little bar with a story to tell.

Opening at 6 a.m., when most people are getting ready for work, the Domino Lounge is greeting regulars looking to unwind after a long, overnight shift. Offering a small breakfast menu or the full "blown" menu to the Boeing guys and gals and the regulars who call Domino their second "living room" Kitchen opens daily for 10am- 200pm for lunch and 4pm until for happy hour and dinner. Husband-and-wife owners Lu and Sumpter Cassells bought the Domino Lounge in 2000. While Sumpter Cassells runs a successful irrigation company, it is Lu Cassells who does most of the managing and day to day operations with help of her daughter Holly, at the establishment where she used to bartend.
The Domino Lounge has two pool tables, 4 TVs, a small "library " for book exchanges among the patrons.
Patrons will simply leave or take books at all hours, enabling them to share with other customers throughout the week.

Lu Cassells has no reservations in describing her bar as a "family affair" and does not pause to express gratitude to those who consider the Domino Lounge a home away from home.
