Donna M Lavigne started her agency in 1983 with an empty file folder and a smile! She has been growing an insurance agency ever since!

Educated in Dutchess County, Donna came to Schoharie as a newlywed. Her background was in accounting & bookkeeping but she was always a “people” person. Sales was inevitable.

Donna started her insurance career as an assistant in the local State Farm office. She found that this was what she wanted to do forever! Donna was licensed in 1982 and began the Lavigne Agency in 1983. Slowly, as her children’s needs changed, she was able to grow the agency, hired folks, got them licensed, and grew more! Donna has the Certified Professional Insurance Agent designation.

Donna’s philosophy about insurance is very simple: Educating clients is the most important thing we do. Once a client understands what he needs and why, it’s easy. Donna cares about her clients and will go to great lengths to help them achieve their goals.
