Open since October 2014, owner and Chef Salvatore Colicci knows how food is supposed to taste. Born and raised in NYC, his family has been in the restaurant business for over 40 years.

Located on Schatzell St. across from Retama Park, Bella Luna Downtown is rapidly creating a following among South Texas residents who want delicious Italian food at reasonable prices. Sauces are made from scratch every day, nothing is pre-cooked and your dish is always made fresh to order.

Bella Luna Downtown has a full Italian entrée menu. Start the meal with the Stuffed Mozzarella Bread appetizer. Savor the melt-in-your-mouth Italian bread stuffed with fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil and smothered in Alfredo sauce. On a cold winter night warm up with Tortellini en Brodo soup made with cheese tortellini in a light chicken broth.

Italian entrees are delightful and generous. Order the fettuccine Alfredo or the Shrimp Fra Diavolo served with a spicy house-made marinara and 6 jumbo shrimp over spaghetti pasta. Featured Italian entrees include Cavatelli Bolognese or Chicken Parmigiana. Italian entrees include a salad and freshly-made bread.

Desserts include White Chocolate Limoncello, Italian Rum Cake, Tiramisu, Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel, and Cannolis.
