Staff Bios:

Erin Sykora, PT, MPT, Center Manager - Erin graduated with a bachelor’s of specialized studies in medical marketing and sales from Ohio University in 2001. She went on to Cleveland State University, where she obtained her master’s of physical therapy in 2006. She spent her first years of practice in Atlanta, where she developed a strong interest in manual therapy, spine rehab and general orthopedics. Erin joined Drayer in 2011 and transitioned to Center Manager of the Aurora center in 2013. She is currently certified in ASTYM and Dry Needling techniques for pain management of acute and chronic conditions. She enjoys participating in yoga and pilates and incorporates similar principles into her practice, when appropriate. Erin is passionate about helping her patients achieve the best quality of life, as it was a series of sports injuries and surgeries that led her to pursue a career in physical therapy.

Steven Wentz, DPT - Steven graduated from Wheeling Jesuit University with a bachelor’s of science in athletic training. He then continued his education at Wheeling Jesuit University, earning a doctorate in physical therapy. Before joining the Drayer team, Steve was very active with high-demand sports-related orthopaedic injuries, but his greatest area of interest is with neurologic and pediatric care. Shortly after graduating, he presented at the West Virginia State Physical Therapy Conference on his doctoral research about the positive effects of physical therapy on children and their families. Steve chose to become a member of the Drayer family because of the company’s drive to pursue excellence in education and a deep-seeded belief in service to the community. He is an affiliate professor to Wheeling Jesuit University for international service learning trips, allowing him to accompany students to Mexico or Haiti once a year. Steve is certified in Dry Needling and kinesiotaping. Outside of work, Steve enjoys participating in sports, hiking, photography and useless trivia.

Nicole Mager, PTA - Nicole graduated with an associate’s degree in physical therapy assisting from Mercyhurst College in 2001. She has spent the majority of her career working in outpatient orthopedic clinics, helping patients recover from a wide range of injuries and surgical procedures. Nicole holds a special interest in manual therapy and has spent many hours in continuing education classes learning new techniques, including myofascial release and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization. She holds a strong belief in the combination of these manual therapy techniques, along with strengthening and flexibility exercises to help her patients achieve their goals and reduce pain. Nicole’s passion, outside of the clinic, is taking care of her three children and loves to participate in sports and outdoor activities. She is also passionate about helping others in poverty stricken nations and is involved in an organization that provides wheelchairs and medical supplies to the handicapped and elderly in Nicaragua.
