About the photographer:

My name is Danielle; I typically go by the pseudo name of Dregenfly for my photography. Verbal, physical, and emotional communications have never been easy for me to express. At 2 years old, I picked up my first camera and learned that I am able to communicate very well through photos, or by the use of multiple mediums. I spend a lot of time analyzing the world through my lens. I can find beauty in everything that exists, except for left turns.

From my perspective, one of the best and simplest ways to describe me is by saying that I strive to be perfect at being a perfectionist. Yes it is a crazy cycle because I never feel like I am finished with any piece of art, including my photography. However, as a good friend once said to me, “You’re just not happy unless you’re looking at the world through a lens.” This is true.

I have a passion for photographing places I travel to, family, nature, and abstract visions. I also enjoy taking photos of the many stages of development that effect our lives such as weddings, graduations, retirement, birthdays or any other significant right of passage that we experience. The artists who inspire me, as well as some of my work are: Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo, and Andy Warhol.
