Earlham College is a selective, private, liberal arts college, emphasizing rigorous academic inquiry in a challenging intellectual environment.

Earlham's students come from wide-ranging backgrounds.
More than 30 percent are American minority or international
students. Faith traditions from Islam to Catholicism to Judaism to
Quakerism are represented in our student body.

Earlham offers more than 20 intercollegiate and recreational sports.
Our women’s and men’s varsity teams compete in the NCAA Division
III as members of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Of our 93 full-time faculty members, 96 percent hold a Ph.D. or
the highest degree in their field. Our student-faculty ratio is 12 to 1;
70 percent of our classes have 19 or fewer students.
