Home Delivered Meals - Home-delivered meals are provided to frail; homebound persons unable to prepare or otherwise obtain their own meals. Daily, hot delivered meals as well as weekly frozen meals are available to eligible participants throughout our service area.

Group Dining Meals - Homecooked, nutritious meals are served at our senior center sites. Edgefield County Senior Center. This program offers an opportunity for socializing, fellowship, and recreation. Transportation to congregate meals is provided for eligible participants. Reservations are required.

Telephone Reassurance - Telephone calls are made daily to homebound seniors who live alone and have limited support systems. Staff & volunteers call to insure the safety and well being.

Outreach - Our outreach program is aimed at locating the isolated, frail senior who would benefit from the services provided by our agency. Outreach staff conduct home visits and assess their needs.

Special Events - Edgefield County Senior Citizens Council holds a number of special events and programs througout the year. These activities announced in the local newspapers and posted at our sites.

Leisure Activities - A number of education courses and recreation programs are offered on a regular basis at all senior center locations. Will be posted in our local newspaper and at our sites.

Volunteer Opportunities - A number of volunteer opportunities are available at Edgefield County Senior Citizens Council including Meals on Wheels delivery and with our daily activities. Call us for more information.

Information & Assistance - Our information and assistance service provides participants with access to agencies and organizations within the community. If you have a question about programs or services for the elderly, call our office.

Transportation - Promoting independence through Public Transit. Our goals in the ongoing development of a countrywide coordinated transportation system are: A. To enhance the quality of life for residents of Edgefield County by helping to get people to jobs, medical appointments, shopping, education & recreation through the use of public transportation. B. To provide safe, efficient & economical public transportation services throughout the county. C. To maximize public input and involvement in all appropriate phases of public transportation.
