Edison Festival of Light

Illuminate. Innovate. Celebrate. The 79th Annual Edison Festival of Light will take place from February 11 -February 19, 2017. The two-week celebration honors the Fort Myers winter resident, Thomas Alva Edison. There are many great events for all ages, including STEMtastic Day of Discovery, Craft Beer and Food Truck Festival, Mutt Strutt, Junior Fun Run, Junior Parade, Craft Show, 5K Race and the celebrated Grand Parade.


The celebration honors innovation and strengthens community spirit and cultural history. All events are open to residents and visitors. Join us this year in commemorating the accomplishments of Thomas Edison through Southwest Florida’s largest and longest running festival and family tradition.
