Enloe Medical Center

• Enloe Medical Center is a private non-profit health care organization.

• We are one of only two independent, community-based Level II Trauma Centers in California and the only hospital in the state with its own flightcare program. Enloe is the only Level II Trauma Center between Sacramento and Redding.

• Enloe is composed of acute care, homecare and outpatient services, including a physical rehabilitation center, behavorial health, and two Prompt Care clinics for urgent care (www.enloe.org/promptcare). Enloe is licensed for 298 beds.

• As a regional referral center, Enloe Medical Center serves a population base of more than 400,000 in six counties: Butte, Glenn, Tehama, Colusa, Plumas and Lassen.

• Enloe Medical Center remains one of the largest and busiest California hospitals North of Sacramento, with about 16,000 inpatient admissions and 50,000 Emergency Room visits.

• Enloe Medical Center's patient satisfaction scores have improved from the bottom 2 percent in 2007 to the top 25 percent today. Enloe attributes much of this success to the implementation of a patient-centered approach to health care.

• 356 physicians are members of Enloe’s medical staff, with more than 200 on active status.

• Enloe is the area’s largest employer, with approximately 2,600 employees.

• Enloe provided $45.3 million in charity care, unreimbursed medical care and bad debt in Fiscal Year 2013. Enloe also provided instruction and teaching hours for 2,132 students pursuing degrees in health care-related fields. Enloe reinvested $30.2 million in facilities and equipment.
