The Department of Communication at ENMU offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees. At the undergraduate level, students may pursue a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in communication with an emphasis in one of four areas: public relations, journalism, broadcast journalism, and broadcast production. Our graduate program culminates in a Master of Arts degree in communication and provides students the opportunity for advanced study in media and communication studies. We also offer three minors (communication studies, journalism, and broadcast media).
Our dynamic programs prepare students to meet the challenges of a media-convergent society. By combining theory and research with professional, hands-on experience, students explore the rich history and tradition of communication, critical analysis of messages, and ethical responsibility in communication. In addition to developing expertise in their area of emphasis, all graduates of our program learn to express ideas effectively, think critically, and make ethical decisions.
Our dedicated faculty come with extensive industry experience and degrees from top doctoral programs around the country, and work closely with you to help you achieve your education and career goals.
