Everett High School is a public high school located on the south side of Lansing, Michigan. It is currently the music and performing arts magnet school for the Lansing School District.The school can trace its roots to Everett Elementary School opened in 1923. A high school was added to the elementary school in 1934, with the first class graduating in 1937. In 1949, the area where Everett was located was annexed by the city of Lansing, and by 1950, the school was incorporated into the Lansing School District. The current school building opened in the fall of 1959. With this new building the school became exclusively a high school.Everett currently has a student-teacher ratio of 22-1. The state average is 18-1.
